My name is Bryanna Humphreys from Adelaide Australia, and I have been making costumes since 2019.

I have always loved to sew from a young age, my mother made most of my childhood dresses and still has them in a suitcase at their home, my nana is also a sewer mostly quilting but made alot of my mums clothes and dance costumes. I learnt how to sew in my first year of highschool and never went back, I love the feeling of the fabric, how something flat and lifeless can become something 3D and beautiful!

I started cosplaying in 2019 right before COVID19 and was so upset that conventions had closed when I had just discovered them. But it didn't stop me from creating and I went on to spend the lockdown working on my first Belle ballgown. Cosplay eventually led me to move from Sydeny away from my family and friends, to Adelaide to study costume design at Flinders University! I graduated in 2025 with a Bachelor in Costume Design and a Diploma in Fashion and Textile Merchandising. I made so many new friends and gained so much experience here in Adelaide, I was lucky enough to have an ex student bring me on as an assistant for some films she was working on and eventually made my own connections in the film and theatre industry to explore my options in their Costuming departments. Since graduating I have been working hard to open my own sewing business to share my love and my creations with the world!

During my time here in Adelaide, I joined a volunteer group Cosplay for a Cause and attended several events in costume to help put a smile on childrens faces. This lead to me gaining employment as a party princess and spreading the magic that beloved characters bring to children on their most special days! During this I've discovered things that would aid me in making my own costumes and making dresses better for performers here in Australia. I aim to make character costumes that are not only beautiful but functional for performers, with ease of access, maintenance and sizing as I believe no matter who you are, who you identify as, what size you wear, that you deserve to feel beautiful and look like a princess!

I absolutely adore making historical costumes, specifically corsetry, and all my original design costumes are heavily inspired by history (ballgowns are a favourite of mine)

Besides sewing I have a few other hobbies such as looking after my fluffy cat Mishka, playing video games with friends and baking. But sewing is not just a career but it is a passion of mine and something I will never stop doing!
